1. Donuts

No longer considered just a morning coffee staple, donuts are gracing wedding dessert tables and walls (let us explain) everywhere!  Classic glazed donuts have been replaced by elaborately decorated donuts in a myriad of flavors.  They can  be stacked in groups to create the look of “donut cakes” or hung on wall pegs to create a “donut wall”.  Who doesn’t love donuts?

2. Pie

Pies are a comfort dessert and a perfect option for a wedding. You can choose a strawberry or lemon meringue pie if you are having a spring or summer wedding or an apple or pumpkin pie for a fall or winter wedding.  We guarantee that nobody will turn down a piece of pie!

3. Macaroons

Macaroons add a hint of elegance to any wedding.  This Parisian inspired dessert comes in a variety of flavors and many colors.  Do not be fooled by the size of the macaroon, it can compete with wedding cake any day!

4. Cinnamon Buns

Let them eat cinnamon buns!  The cinnamon and cream cheese icing pair perfectly with a fall wedding.  Your guests can sip coffee or tea while enjoying this classic pastry.  The cinnamon bun will not disappoint!

5. Cupcakes

These mini cakes are a great alternative to traditional wedding cake. There’s something fun about unwrapping a cupcake and that feeling doesn’t wear off as you get older.  Cupcakes can easily be set on fancy cake stands and decorated with extravagant toppings.

6. Cake pops

Looking for something different? Consider having cake pops at your wedding.  They are fun and add an element of playfulness.  Guests won’t waste anytime getting on the dance floor as dessert on a stick couldn’t be any easier to eat!

7. Cream Puffs

Cream puffs are beautiful stacked on cake plates or assembled into a croquembouche.  A croquembouche is cream puffs assembled into a teetering tower, held together with sugar. It was once believed that if a bride and groom could kiss over the top of a towering croquembouche without knocking it over, they would enjoy a prosperous life together. Sounds like a challenge!

8. Berry Parfaits

Berry parfaits are a great option for a summer wedding.  You can add many types of fruit (blueberries, strawberries, blackberries or peaches work best).  They are light, refreshing and make a lovely dessert.  You can put parfaits in fancy glassware or try mason jars for a more casual feel.

9. Chocolate Cake

Perfect for the couple who loves chocolate!  What typically is a childhood favorite can be elevated to a sophisticated level when mixed with flavor accents such as mint, orange and strawberry. Alternatively, a chocolate cake covered in white icing is a great way to mix tradition with modern taste.   Sounds like a great option to us!
